Colleagues,

The organizers of the Economic Justice Town Hall, a subgroup
of the Social Justice Committee of the AAUP-AFT Local 6075 would appreciate
your help in providing information for the attached
survey.
The need for budget transparency was a common theme that arose from conversations throughout the Town Hall, especially in regard to budget and salary data, which play a critical role in the shared governance of our university. Other general concerns included, but were not limited to:
·
Workload/salary disparities
·
Positions remaining unfilled
·
Lack of travel funds
·
Unhealthy work and building conditions
·
Outdated computers
·
New budget model (RCM)
·
Lack of accountability for administrators
·
Student scholarship access
There was also strong support for taking this information to the Board of Governors. We plan to do just that at the next WSU Board of Governors (BOG) Meeting on Friday, March 23, 2018.
In preparation for this meeting, below is a link to an informal resource survey.
Feedback from the Informal Resource Survey will be used to gather quantitative information to support our current and future efforts in seeking economic justice at our university.
If you are interested in attending the BOG meeting and/or have questions about the Social Justice Committee, please contact Mark Dilley, Director of Organizing, at mdilley@aaupaft.org or 313-942-9454
In Solidarity,
AAUP-AFT
AAUP-AFT Local 6075 members standing together for
equity, justice, and shared governance in support of the University and
the students we serve.
