The contract between the University and AAUP-AFT Local 6075 expires on March 20, 2021. We are, therefore, in the period in which we are preparing to negotiate our next contract. A small working group has prepared a preliminary survey to gather feedback from the membership on the issues they find most important. This is the link to that survey: Bargaining Survey #1
This survey will be used to plan events and write a more focused survey to gather your guidance as we head into negotiations. We believe listening to our membership is extremely important. In addition to this message, over the next couple of weeks, you will receive several more reminders to participate in Bargaining Survey #1.
The bargaining survey is, of course, anonymous. We want you to frankly identify most important to you.
In addition to asking you to respond to this survey, we want to offer you the opportunity to participate in our efforts to prepare for negotiations. Bargaining takes a lot of time and work. The Take Action form lists a number of ways you can get involved.
